Day by day we're building our homestead here in Alaska. One year ago, we sold everything & headed West to continue our pursuit for a life of freedom & self sufficiency OFF GRID in ALASKA. We've built two homesteads from the ground up in Virginia, but this one is different because it's our forever home.

The chickens will start laying this fall, and these sheep will provide dairy & meat for our family. No one is 100% self sufficient, and that's not our goal. Our goal is to do the best we can each day & most importantly grow as much of our own food as possible. Times are changing & it's crucial to know where your food comes from and what's IN IT!

Alaska naturally provides wild game & an array of delicious fish & birds for our family. Adding the sheep to our homestead just sweetens the deal. They're smaller than cows, they eat less and are so easy to maintain. Plus their meat & milk is delish! Today, we're picking up our new flock of Icelandic/Shetland cross sheep, inviting you to come along for the ride!
