When your lift is occupied, these tall jack stands on wheels can come in handy. Build your own with step-by-step instructions from Andy Weyenberg.

With a few basic materials and some customization to fit your car, you’ll have these useful props ready for your next shop project.

:55 Tools and Materials
1:15 Determine the height and cut square tubing.
1:33 Center punch and drill mounting holes in the castor plates.
2:05 Weld the square tubing to the castor plates.
3:05 Create a saddle to mount the stands to the frame.
6:50 Create rear frame mounts.
11:00 Assemble the castors to the stands and attach the stands to the car.
