Comparing Yourself to Others is POISON

Don't get caught in this trap of comparing yourself to other roofing salespeople, to other people on your team because it does not matter. I've done it. And listen, I'm all for being competitive, but I want to help get your mind right. So I wanna read you an excerpt of my book, the Roofing Sales Survival Guide in the final stages of editing.

And here it is. What's the most important survival tip for overcoming self comparison? Remember that the only thing that matters is how you compare to yourself. Everyone's in a different place on their journey In roofing sales. Some people earn more than others. And what they're doing or not doing doesn't matter.

So you can obsess over what other people are doing better than you and how much more they're earning, or you can obsess over daily self-improvement. The choice is yours getting just a little better each and every day. All that matters is how you compare to yourself yesterday, the week before, the month before the year before, and so on, and there you have it.

Compare yourself to yourself as the only benchmark that my friend is the only thing that matters.
