Have you ever found yourself comparing yourself to others? “It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog.” - Mark Twain

Sometimes, we find ourselves comparing ourselves to other people, but using the wrong metric. This is a dangerous thing because we can easily find ourselves validating negative thoughts, personal doubts, and weaknesses.

Mark Twain said “It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog.”
The game of life is one we play alone. Yes, there are teams and lots of competition out there but in many ways, we are left to find a win in each day, week, month, or year all by ourselves.

We have to be self-motivated and hold ourselves accountable for our actions or lack thereof.
If we look to compare ourselves to others then it should be for the purpose that we strive to build new skills and learn from other's failures and wins. And not to build a list of excuses why we shouldn’t try in the first place.
