How I Got Started in the SCA: Medieval Renaissance Reenactment

When I was 16 years old, I encountered the SCA and was immediately hooked! I have always had a love for history, especially the Renaissance! Here is a quick story of how I was introduced to the SCA.

Some of the photos pictured in this video are from some of my first events, such as my first Crown Tournament and my first Pennsic War.

For anyone curious about what exactly the 'SCA' is -- The Society for Creative Anachronism is an international, non-profit educational organization that studies and recreates the medieval and Renaissance years of 600-1600AD.
