Which state spends the most on its homeless? You might immediately think of states like Oregon or California because of homeless-infested cities like Portland and Los Angeles. But that wouldn't be the case. Oregon spends seventeen hundred bucks per capita, and California spends twenty-four hundred bucks per capita. Most states spend between twenty-four hundred bucks to four thousand dollars. Illinois, Louisiana, and Ohio spend almost 7000 dollars per homeless, and the state that spends the most on its homeless is Connecticut, at 8,500 dollars.
