NCR Computer History: An overview of early NCR Computers. National Cash Register Company was one of the largest cash register and calculating machine companies during the 1920's through 1970's. Founded in Dayton, Ohio, it was a giant in the manufacturing of business machines. Here is a brief look back at some of their machines and computers, through vintage photos and films, including a small sampling of their extensive product line of cash register machines and computing devices, and NCR's role in the manufacture of 1940's U.S. codebreaking machines.
