TYPICAL FOOD FROM PARÁ.

Paraense cuisine is rich in unique flavors and ingredients, with dishes that reflect the diversity of the Amazon region.

Some of the most famous dishes include Pato no Tucupi, made with a yellow broth extracted from cassava and with a strong sour flavor.

It is served with rice, sautéed jambu leaves and cassava flour.

Another popular dish is Tacacá, a hot broth made from tucupi, tapioca gum, shrimp and braised jambu leaves.

Maniçoba is also a typical dish of Pará, known as the feijoada dos paraenses.

We know that paraense cuisine is full of delicious dishes and unique ingredients.

Vatapá paraense with all its ingredients is served with white rice and dried shrimp.

Some other typical dishes include Caruru, a pirão made with okra, dried and whole shrimps, green seasoning (alfavaca and chicory), very fine cassava flour and palm oil.

Açaí is also an indispensable accompaniment at lunchtime in Pará and can be consumed in various ways with flours, grains and fish.

Paraense desserts are rich in fruits and delicious flavors.

Cupuaçu candy, made with the mild and sour fruit that has become a symbol of regional cuisine.

The Pará Chestnut Bonbon is made with the seed of the Chestnut Tree, a tree native to the Amazon rainforest.

There are other popular desserts that include, mousses and cakes made with regional fruits, such as bacuri, taperebá and açaí, which accompany Paraense cuisine.
