On January 29, 2023 I, PTL Kyle Creppel, was dispatched to the area of 1812 South Rose Street because we received a call saying Garrick Henderson was in the area entering the home at that address. Mr Henderson has several warrants. He has warrants out of Stuttgart, Arkansas County, Jefferson County, and the parole board. When I arrived at 1812 South Rose I exited my vehicle and noticed a male walking out of the house and through the back yard wearing waders and had a backpack on. I called out to the individual and as he turned around I immediately identified the male as Mr Garrick Henderson. Mr Henderson then began to run away after looking back at me. I ran after and followed Mr Henderson through the back yard and we were heading East towards South Vine Street. Mr Henderson then dropped his backpack and rounded the house. I chased Mr Henderson towards the front of the house and he then went around the house heading North towards the woods. After chasing Mr Henderson through backyards we entered the wood. After we entered the woods I was able to grab Mr Henderson and brought him to the ground. Mr Henderson laid on his stomach and had his hands held together under his chest. After a short struggle I was able to gain control of Mr Henderson and place him in handcuffs. While searching Mr Henderson person I found a small clear bag of marijuana in the front pocket of his hoodie. I then placed Mr Henderson in the back of a patrol car and began searching the area for his backpack. Once I found his backpack it was placed in the truck of the same patrol car that Mr Henderson was in. After transporting Mr Henderson to the police department myself and Ptl. Haley Johnson began searching his bag. Inside the bag were two sawzalls that we believe to have been used in other crimes. Mr Henderson was then read his warrant and tranported to the Arkansas County Detention Center.
