Octopath Traveler 2 (PC) - Part 63: A Tower of Trials (Priestess Hinoekagura Superboss Fight)

Hikari's story was the first one I chose to end because completing his final chapter unlocks free reign of the city of Ku wherein lies the final character class! In the inner city, right outside of Castle Ku, there is a bonus dungeon known as the Five-Tiered Tower. Be sure to loot the city before going in, because 5 brutal bonus bosses await, and the Battle-Tested Spear you get from Benkei will come in handy! You can save between each boss, unlike the sequential boss fights against Mugen in the previous episode, so take advantage of that. Most of the boss fights in this tower can be cheesed with Arcanist Partitio, but some bosses (particularly the snake charmer on Floor 2) can chew through your Sidesteps.

Once you reach the top floor, the woman who conjured the tower in search of true heroes offers the final trial. Priestess Hinoekagura is a superboss in every sense of the word, with 200,000 HP, extremely hard-hitting attacks, the ability to remove a party member with Sealing Ceremony, the ability to add elemental chasers to her attacks, two different forms (one of which gives her an extra turn!), and other cruel tricks as well. Most of her attacks are physical, so the Arcanist Partitio strategy should work to an extent, though Sealing Ceremony, Divine Wind, and her elemental chasers to her physical attacks can still pierce through Sidestep, so be sure to have a good healer on hand at all times.

After killing Priestess Hinoekagura, she will grant you the final character class, the Conjurer!
