As countries rush to evacuate their citizens from Sudan, some Americans are frustrated with the lack of support from the U.S. State Department, which has only helped a fraction of the fewer than 5,000 U.S. citizens who have sought assistance in leaving the country. The State Department has helped several hundred U.S. citizens evacuate Sudan by land, sea, and air, and is working with partners to try to end the conflict in the region.
