State Department: US citizens in Sudan should make self-evacuation plans

The U.S. State Department has urged U.S. citizens residing in Sudan to arrange their own plans to vacate the country as violence between paramilitary factions continues to surge. In a press briefing Friday, Principal Deputy Spokesman Vedant Patel said Americans residing in the warring country should have no expectations of a U.S. government-coordinated evacuation at this time.
