Hey Guys! Welcome back to my channel. Today’s video is brand new and another installment for my Mother’s Day Eats Playlist. I’m going to show you how to make Turnip Greens and Kale with Smoked Turkey Tails. There are so many wonderful things that you can make for this special day. This playlist is going to include some of my most favorite dishes.
I grew up eating greens cooked by many family members but my Momma’s Greens were always the best. I can remember us kids waiting and watching the pot just to get a taste. We were vegetable lovers because my Mother included them in almost every meal.
Now you can surely add or subtract anything that I’ve added in my recipe. It’s up to you, Make It Your Own😉

Mustard and Kale Greens Seasoned with Smoked Turkey Tails:

8 or 9 Smoked Turkey Tails, washed and cleaned
3 or 4 Bags of Turnip Greens
2 Large Bunches of Fresh Kale, washed cleaned and chopped
2 , 32 Ounce Cartons of Chicken Broth
2 Tablespoons Avocado Oil
2 Tablespoons Slap Ya Mama Seasoning
2 Tablespoons Minced Onion
1/2 Teaspoon Crushed Red Pepper
1 Teaspoon Granulated Onion
1 Teaspoon Granulated Garlic

In a large boiler pot add the washed turkey tails and the chicken broth. Add the seasonings and the avocado oil to the pot. Cook for approximately 1 1/2 hours or until they are done.
Once done remove them from the boiler and set them aside.
Add the greens to the boiler and cook them until they are done. I cooked mine about 45 minute over medium high heat. The doneness is going to depend on your preference. I like for mine to have a little bite to them but no tough stems and definitely don’t cook them until they are mushy.
Once the greens are done add the turkey tails and let them reheat and you are done. Enjoy 😉
