Hey Guys! Welcome back to my channel. In today’s video I’m going to show you how to make a classic recipe, 7 Layer Salad. I used to eat this quite regularly when I was growing up. It was something that we had every time we had a big family dinner or a family reunion. Someone always had one of these salads on deck and it was always delicious.

Mother’s Day is approaching and this would make a wonderful addition to your menu.

7 Layer Salad:
1 Pound Bacon, cooked and diced
1 Head of Iceberg Lettuce, rinsed, dried and chopped
1 Red Onion, chopped
1, 10 Ounce Package Frozen Green Peas, thawed
8 Large Hard Boiled Eggs, chopped
2 Cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese
Dressing:
1 Cup Mayonnaise
1/2 Cup Sour Cream
2 Tablespoons White Sugar
2/3 Cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
1 to 2 Tablespoons White Vinegar

Whisk together the dressing ingredients and set aside.
In a truffle dish or a cake plate turned upside down like I demonstrated in my video start your layers.
In the bottom add the lettuce. Next add the red onion. Next add the peas. Next spread the dressing on top of the peas. Next add the hard boiled eggs. Next add the cheese. Next add the bacon on top.
Cover with Saran Wrap and refrigerate overnight for the best flavor.
Enjoy!
