In the year since the Ukrainian conflict entered its kinetic stage, international relations have changed more than in the preceding decades and the most surprising shifts occurred in countries not involved in the war. In deciding what stance to take, they had to consciously weigh their interests and resources against longer geopolitical and geo-economic trends, and almost all came up with their own version of neutrality. Has neutrality become a byword for sovereignty? To discuss this, Oksana is joined by Pascal Lottaz, associate professor for neutrality studies at Kyoto University.
