I was out gnoming about today gathering Gallium Aparine from the bed of irises, daffodils, and snowbells near our future catfish lagoon. I have been steadily working my way around, plucking those sticky strands of greenery, before they can go to seed.

This missus, you see, has consumed that fruit that tells her that those tiny spines that cling to everything, and the little brown fuzzy seeds that stick to her dog's fur and are, apparently, a bother to brush out *ahem* the fruit that tells her that this is a bad thing. Now, being the proper model of Adam, I am going about, removing the plant that was brought here in such profusion by riding upon the dog's fur.

I tried that fruit, and found that it did not agree with me .. but to please the missus, I'll go put that goose grass to use: Gallium, goose grass, cleavers - pick your name - is an accumulator for calcium, and as it happens, ducks enjoy eating it. The calcium that the gallium has drawn up into its tissues becomes thicker shells on our eggs. (continued) ...
