Violent protests in France amid Macron's speech justifying the pension reform

Massive protests took place this Monday in France while President Emmanuel Macron made his first speech after the promulgation of the controversial pension reform law last Saturday.
Protesters erected and burned barricades, while police fired tear gas to disperse them.
According to local media, hundreds of protesters gathered in the streets of Paris, Rennes, Bordeaux, Lyon and other cities to express their discontent with the situation.
