South Florida was hit by a slow-moving storm on Wednesday, resulting in over two feet of rainfall in Fort Lauderdale.

The heavy downpour caused major roadways to flood, prompting a flash flood emergency and necessitating a state of emergency to be declared on Thursday, Accuweather reported.

Even after a day, numerous roadways in the region remained inundated, and the city’s airport was still shut down.
