We are avid cruisers and travelers and were pleasantly surprised by the @margaritavilleatsea. We got married on a cruise ship.

Itinerary:
Day 1 – Embark at Port of Palm Beach
Check-in begins 10:30 AM
Boarding 1:00 – 4:00 PM
Departure is at 5:00 PM

Day 2 – Grand Bahama Island
Arrival at port 7:00 AM | Back on board by 4:30 PM

Day 3 – Disembark at Port of Palm Beach
Arrival at port 7:00 AM | Disembark 8:00 – 10:30 AM

Would we go on her again? Probably not.
Did we have a good time? Yes.
Was it the shortest cruise we have ever been on? Oh ya!
Did we smell the poop smell? Travis did.

Was our cabin clean? Yes, and very spacious! It was one of the largest inside/ocean view cabins we have ever had. Our shower curtain ALMOST made it to the bottom but we still had a little water get onto the bathroom floor. Our room steward was very good about replacing our towels.

Televisions: They had TONS of channels compared to other cruise lines. Travis was in heaven because he could watch March Madness in our cabin and all over the ship!

Did we purchase a Boat Drink package? YES! 10 drinks worked well for us. Travis also got a bucket of beer for $30 (domestic).

Did we purchase the Unlimited Soda package? Yes! For $29 it was great to be able to get a caffeine fix whenever we wanted it. They have Coke on the ship.

Did we purchase an excursion? NO. We were on a 12 day excursion packed trip in December through multiple Hawaiian islands. We wanted to relax. We were able to secure loungers near the main pool both days and enjoy the sunshine. We did walk over to the Straw Market with Senor Frogs. Please keep in mind, this market in NOT OPEN if there isn't another ship docked. Check out the link below to find out if there is another ship docked when you are sailing on the @margaritavilleatsea

Sports Trivia: We LOVE trivia on the ships. This was the WORST RUN TRIVIA WE HAVE EVER BEEN A PART OF. Usually they give participants a piece of paper and pen/pencil to write their answers down as they go through the questions. MAS Emcee just asked the crowd to shoutout answers as we went through. She was keeping this weird score for the different teams. The questions were also awful and put together by people that know nothing about sports. It was a complete joke.

Nightlife: We watched the Jimmy Buffet Ship Show and thought it was good. It was fun to sing along to his songs with the cast.

Check-In/Embarkation and Debarkation: We have passports. My advice: I would never travel, as a US Citizen, to another country without my passport. If there was ever a medical emergency and you had to be held in a foreign countries hospital, good luck getting home with a birth certificate. Our check in and disembarkation was easy.

Luggage Tags: I've seen this asked in the Facebook group. This is a 2 night cruise... unless you are doing the stay in the Bahamas... how much are you packing that you need a luggage tag?

Spa/Fitness Center: It was open when we got on the ship and the spa employees were there to answer questions and make appointments for you. Although we didn't have any spa treatments the rooms looked nice. The fitness center equipment was adequate but a little worn and dated.

Extra Fees/Gratuities: For Grand Bahama bookings taxes, fees and port expenses of $94.40 per person and gratuities of $14.95 per person per night for interior and ocean view staterooms and $19.95 for suites per person per night are also additional. Up to $12 per person, per night fuel charge.
