Margaritaville at Sea Paradise: Day 1 (March 2023) #margaritavilleatsea

We boarded the @margaritavilleatsea in West Palm Beach, Florida. The port was a little confusing to get to as we were driving from northern Florida but eventually found the ship. You are greeted by security and put into a line to valet your car. Valet costs $22 a day. We paid cash, took a picture of our valet ticket, and unloaded our bags. Security is right through the door and it was a simple process. You can either take the escalator or elevator upstairs to wait in line for check in. We arrived around 12:00pm and waited about 25 minutes for a check in window.

Once you received your ship cards (very bland and boring -- could use some branding on them) you head towards the tables with excursions, drinks, and reservations for the steakhouse. We purchased one unlimited soda package ($29) and one Boat Drinks package ($99). I wish this was something you could add in advance online through their website.

After that, it was on to the ship! The gangway was kinda steep in a few areas so it may be difficult for anyone with mobility concerns. The ship opens to the 4th floor and a giant flip flop sculpture. We took the closest elevator to the Euphoria Lounge to relax and get a cocktail. Time to start our very short vacation.

The staterooms were ready around 2pm and we headed to deck 6 to check ours out. The ship smelled very good when we boarded and our stateroom was clean and spacious. Our balcony room on the #ncl Pride of America wasn't this big. Our shower curtain was only a few inches off from the floor and didn't spill too much on our bathroom floor. The bed was a little hard for my liking and pillows a little soft. We did both sleep pretty well.

We changed into our bathing suits and headed up to the buffet for some food. We picked through the Port of Indecision buffet and walked to the 5 O'Clock Somewhere bar at the back of the ship. Travis enjoyed his burger, hot dog, and french fries. I tried the fried chicken, french fries, some cheese, and lunch meat. The buffet was fine.

We left promptly that afternoon from the port and the Sail Away Party commenced. Everyone was having fun with dancing, drinks, and Congo lines. We ate dinner at Fins and everything was delicious. Here's everything we ate: Cuban croquettes, cajun gumbo, Florida hush puppies, Caesar salad, jambalaya, Antiqua shrimp skewers, key lime sponge cake, and classic brownie.

The sunset from the ship was beautiful that night as we headed towards the Bahamas. The Euphora Lounge had some great music. Make sure you check it out!
