Expelled Democratic state representative reinstated following Nashville council vote

Expelled Tennessee Democratic representative Justin Jones was reinstated on Monday, April 10, after Nashville’s city council voted to return him to the state legislature. Tennessee representatives voted to expel Jones and fellow state Democrat Justin J. Pearson last week for mounting a gun reform protest on the floor of the General Assembly’s chamber in violation of House rules, days after six people, including three children, were killed in a mass shooting at a Nashville school.
