So, you finally managed to get your woodchips .. from getchipdrop.com, your local greenwaste disposal site, or by flagging down the tree trimmers on the side of the road and offering them a 6-pack to dump at your place (works like a charm!) You want to make good horticultural compost out of those chips .. but you NEED to increase your soil depth, NOW. You're in luck, because this Trick can double your soil depth in one shot!

We get there by _mining_ the topsoil from your walk ways .. and use those same paths to compost your chips! Now your walkways will no longer be overrun with weeds attempting to make an incursion into your garden beds, and your garden beds will steadily increase in soil depth, year after year.
