Matthew Hammersmith's event held on a really nice out on the farm 2 mile loop. I went to volunteer help motivate if anything for awhile, no plan to do the events schedule but to get few miles in at some point. When my daughter and I got there around 10am they had 3 or so laps already complete with a 6:30am start.
Sometime after noon I just caught up to them on laps and stopping little over 20 miles. I felt surprisingly great but did not go prepared (nutrition & water) for any crazy distances. At the heat of the day not much more water and my daughter was hungry I called it quits.
One finisher that was able to do his last lap @ an impressive 7:30 pace completing the 100k event.

Oh and the picture at the end I found on my camera that my daughter took of a pony that was near the course. She found out it's name was Poptart. Too cute not to add :)

Details:
100k at 31 Laps
50 Mile at 25 Laps
50k at 16 Laps

This event takes an interesting twist on the backyard style of racing! All participants will start their 100k attempt at 6:30am. Almost all will fail! Along the way you can knock out some distance marks but in the end there may only be ONE Winner or possibly No Finishers! The race will tentatively end around 10pm with the last few runners picking up the pace every mile to beat the clock that is diminishing with ever lap!

The cutoff for each lap will be one minute less than the previous lap. We will start the race at 6:30am and give runners 45 minutes to complete the 2 mile loop. Runners completing the laps early must wait for the clock to start the next scheduled lap. If you fail to complete the 2 mile loop in the required time please ring the cowbell and turn in you race bib.
