Stunning annual tulip festival attracts hundreds to Iranian city

Hundreds gathered to see the Middle East’s largest flower carpet made of 53,000 tulips at Chamran Park in the Iranian city of Karaj.

It’s the ninth annual flower festival for the city. According to event organizers, more than 200,000 tulips have been planted for this year’s festival, alongside more than 200,000 other seasonal flowers.
