Hello and welcome!

Today we're reviewing the Holosun 403R red dot sight and I'm certainly content with what Holosun is putting out. It weights a little over 3.5oz, has a 2moa DOT, and around 100,000 battery life. According to Holosun that's on setting 6 - FYI. The body is made of aluminum much like many of there other products. I'm rocking a 510c-GR and a 507C ACSS in green currently on some of my guns. I'm not partial to Holosun, however, for the price they're pretty darn hard to beat. The closest comparison of other brands to this model is the Aimpoint T1/T2. The 403R can be found sub $200, whereas the T1/T2 is around $600+ give or take. This is a closed emitter so you shouldn't have to worry about weather and it carries a IP67 rating. It does come with a high/low mount, cleaning cloth, a bikini, and a Allen wrench T10 torq-bit. It does have 12 brightness settings with 2 of those being dedicated to night vision. I couldn't really see much during the day, unless it was turned up to at least 6/7. After messing around with it a bit and taking it to a darker location the lower settings were visible. They're just very dim during the day, and on a final note the 11/12 setting did give some starburst effect. For the money its really hard to beat...

P.S. - These models only come in Red or Gold - the Red is HS403R and the Gold is HE403R. Sadly they don't make a green version of this exact model.
