Expert not allowed to testify in the Crumbely case

The Court ruled the that States expert on a pathway to violence is not allowed to testify in the trial against the parents of the Oxford Michigan school shooter, Ethan Crumbley. This will hurt the states case.

This matter is before the Court on the People's Motion in Limine to Admit Evidence of Defendants' Role in Creating the Pathway to Violence for the Shooter. Specifically, the People seek to introduce expert testimony from Dr. Jillian K. Peterson and Dr. Dewey G. Cornell. A Daubert hearing was conducted on October 28, 2022. The Court is fully advised in the premises. For the reasons stated herein, the People's Motion in Limine to Admit Evidence of Defendants' Role in Creating the Pathway to Violence for the Shooter is DENIED.
