Octopath Traveler 2 (PC) - Part 25: Carnivorous Plant Quest Boss + Inventor's Guild

Let's take a break from the main story and get another secondary class that I completely missed when I first started the game, as well as take down our first of many optional quest bosses! In the New Delsta Flats, there is a side dungeon called the Abandoned Waterway, with a danger level of 20. Inside here lies our first optional boss, the Carnivorous Plant. It has 20,000 HP and its signature mode is Abduction, which removes one of your characters from play until you break it. It also has the ultimate attack Foul Odor, which works like a Malboro's Bad Breath from the Final Fantasy games, giving your whole party a whole slew of bad status ailments. Your reward for winning is the Frost Axe.

After taking down the optional boss, we then head to the Inventor's Guild, which is located in the northeast corner of the area right outside of New Delsta. The Inventor class works differently than other secondary classes. With this class, you unlock new skills by collecting materials and giving them to the inventor to complete his inventions, and the class's passive support skills unlock for all characters as you unlock them.
