Octopath Traveler 2 (PC) - Part 24: One-Woman M*A*S*H (Castti Chapter 2B)

At the end of Chapter 1, Castti finds her next clue to her identity in a diary hidden in her satchel, which directs her to the cities of Sai and Winterbloom. Since we already followed the Winterbloom lead in Part 19, and since we're in the Sai area finding the Warriors Guild, let's see what Castti can find about herself in the desert town of Sai. This will be marked as Chapter 2B, the Winterbloom Route was Chapter 2A.

War has broken out in Sai, and Castti steps in to treat the wounded, like a one-woman MASH unit. As he enters the hospital tent, the commander of the wounded soldiers disparages them as weak and storms off back to the battlefield, as local apothecary Mao jogs another of Castti's memories where she and the rest of Eir's Apothecaries came in to help in the same situation four years prior. After getting a call about more wounded on the battlefield, Castti rushes out, only to find that the only wounded were enemy soldiers. When Castti rushes in to help them anyway, she and Commander Edmund have a discussion about the idea of helping his enemies and eventually warms up to the idea.

As they head toward the camp, they stumble upon the source of the soldiers' wounds: a giant sand lion! After the Sand Lion's defeat, the enemy commander Griff shares another piece of information to trigger another of Castti's memories, a memory of all of the people of a small village being killed by purple rain...
