Sunday Longplay - Valis 2 (TurboGrafx-CD)

This week on Sunday Longplay, it's been a very long time since I played a TurboGrafx-16 game on my channel, but there are still more hidden gems to uncover on that relatively-unknown system, so let's uncover another one now! Welcome to Valis 2!

Many years ago I played a SNES game on my channel called Super Valis 4. This game is a prequel to that one, starring Yuko Asou, a Japanese schoolgirl teenager chosen to become the Valis warrior by wielding the titular mystical sword. The gameplay is similar to its sequel that I played previously, where you control Yuko through two-dimensional levels, battling enemies, jumping from ledge to ledge, and running until the player faces a boss at the end of each level. At certain points in the game, gameplay pauses, and cinematic cutscenes play regarding the game's storyline.
