Pulling Brood Feathers 🥚 03/24/23 14:03

After a nice nap, the female Eagle Owl starts to pull some brood feathers from her patch. Exposing more skin in the brood patch to keep the egg warm and insulate the nest bole. Also giving us a nice glimpse of the egg. After she's done, a bit of beak cleaning on the stick is done. An important task to help keep the beak free of bacteria.
