Women that are sexually assaulted have a 90% chance of knowing their attacker. Which means they may already be interacting in close proximity to you. On average, men have more body strength than women.

At no point in life do I ever wish to fight a man, much less square up to one. But self-defense isn’t as much about “overpowering” an attacker as it is about outwitting them.

Don’t allow your size to discourage you. Attackers and abusers eagerly take advantage of those they believe won’t fight back. It’s statistically proven, they prey on who they believe to be “easy targets.”

Don’t make it easy. Focusing on the easiest techniques that can be the most startling or cause excruciating pain, gives the time needed to create distance, escape, and/or draw a weapon.
