Mango is the fruit of the mango tree, a fruit tree in the Anacardiaceae family. Native to South and Southeast Asia from East India to the Philippines, and successfully introduced to Brazil, Angola, Mozambique, Portugal and Spain. Its pulp is juicy (good amount of water), sweet and tasty, and can be fibrous or smooth depending on the species. It only has one large lump. It is a fruit that is low in calories. Mango is rich in minerals and vitamins C, B5, A and antioxidants.
