What do you do if you are a fan of the Xbox Series S or Series X but you're not as big of a fan of those controllers as you are of the Xbox 360 controller? Well, the team over at Hyperkin has been hard at work and has just announced their new Xenon Xbox 360 inspired controller, but it's designed to be compatible with the Xbox Series S and Series X. Let's take a closer look.

Originally teased in late 2022, Hyperkin has once again teamed up with Microsoft to make an officially licensed controller for the Xbox. The Xenon takes the best out of the original Xbox 360 controller, the overall shape, layout, and button placement, but gives it a refresh for modern consoles. That means you will get all the same sharing, capturing, menu buttons, and other features that compact into an Xbox Series SRX controller, but in a 360 controller case. Let's take a look at the press release from Hyperkin.

Hyperkin to Launch Xbox 360 Style Controller for Xbox Series X|S on June 6

March 16, 2023 (Los Angeles, Calif.) Today, Los Angeles-based video game hardware developer, Hyperkin, has announced they will be releasing the Xenon controller on June 6 of this year. It will be priced at $49.99.

Announced in November of last year, the Xenon is a replica of the official Xbox 360 Controller - licensed with Designed for Xbox. The Xenon is named after the codename of the Xbox 360’s first console iteration.

Although a replica of the official Xbox 360 controller, the Xenon will include some modern amenities for the Xbox Series X|S. It will initially come in four colors: black, white, pink and red.

Features:
• Precision analog impulse triggers

• Modern amenities for Xbox Series X|S: Menu, View and Share buttons

• Vibration feedback for realistic experiences

• Detachable Type-C cable
