3/15/2023 Worm Wednesday Feeding Vermihut 5th feeding spinach started the vermihut with 350 red wigglers, they have gotten much larger over the last 6 weeks. The population hasn’t started booming yet but the worms are getting larger.Show more

Very happy with the red wigglers hanging out in the feeding area still after 7 days eating the garlic scapes and banana peel. Todays feeding is a simple one, I cut some pieces of spinach from outside and placed it in the freezer. The ends were damaged by the cold and browning and curling over. After adding them to the feeding area adding ground eggshells and covering I found some sweet potato from the last feeding that had some worms actively on them. I placed them into the feeding area I added some worm chow on top for a bit more quick food for the worms.
