This is Chat #8 (Memories of a world long gone). On translating (and living with) Spanish mystics from the 16th century. Mystical Spanish into current English (or trying to pour an ocean into a glass). Two languages each with their own intrinsic beauty: Spanish (Latin rhetoric) and English (succinct, conciseness/economy of words). A couple of experiences/examples.
