Workshop crane/camera boom trolley build for garage workshop

This build will show you how to make a garage woodworking workshop ceiling mounted rolling gantry crane. This creative project idea is an excellent DIY project to get your shop organized. I’m eventually going to mount a camera boom arm on mine but it could also be used to mount a hoist for lifting and moving things around the workshop.

There is no welding required and basic tools are all you’ll need to design and build your own workshop crane base. The basis for the mechanism is Unistrut or superstrut and a shop made trolly. You could also buy ready made trolleys to save time.
