David R. Erickson Sr. Attack on Video Site

Many of you have been asking about the videos, especially the podcast, after seeing the content disappearing on YouTube. As content was taken offline, a message was displayed stating that it had been removed due to a copyright claim by David R. Erickson, Sr.

While our legal team is reviewing the action taken against our channel, we cannot talk about Mr. Erickson. What we can say is this:

When I attended the Branham Tabernacle while my grandfather was the head pastor, there were a handful of men and women that my grandfather considered to be troublemakers. This was long before I was aware that William Branham had on multiple occasions misrepresented facts for financial gain, and was himself, a troublemaker. Some of those people were cast out of the church by my grandfather, and though outcast from the other members of William Branham’s cult of personality, according to my grandfather, continued stirring up trouble.

These people are victims, in the same way that members of our support groups and myself were victimized. The problem, however, is that some of these same people have chosen to retaliate through false claims with the sole purpose of damaging the reputation and credibility of me and people working with me. Some of the attacks we receive are criminal. Because some of them have never heard and do not understand the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and only understand Branham’s false gospel of vengeance and hate, many bad people become empowered with hatred instead of divine love.

Since our reputation and credibility was damaged by Mr. Erickson, we are going to examine his claims, which are already made public by YouTube:

According to YouTube’s representatives, Mr. Erickson filed legally binding documents claiming copyright ownership of one video of William Branham, and two photographs of William Branham. If these representatives are accurate, in my opinion an unprofessional assessment of these documents, Mr. Erickson made fraudulent claims for the sole purpose of damaging William Branham Historical Research. Ultimately, my legal team will be deciding the exact nature of these actions and the damages associated with them.

I should also note that after a thorough investigation, there is no evidence suggesting that Mr. Erickson did not act alone. We had coincidental attacks on our social media accounts at the same time, but as of now, these coincidental attacks seem to be unrelated.

In 2019, Mr. Erickson participated in an attack on our “The Message” documentary series when the series had reached the point at which we exposed the fact that Rev. Jim Jones of Peoples Temple was at one time a “Message” cult leader. The moment we reached that same point in time in our podcast this year, Mr. Erickson initiated a copyright strike to halt the information from spreading. In a legally binding document, Mr. Erickson claimed ownership of the copyright to the black-and-white photograph of William Branham in the Sam Houston Coliseum with stage lighting giving the appearance of a “halo”.

This photograph is, according go the Library of Congress, owned by Theodore J. Kipperman and Douglas Studios, Houston, Texas. The legally-binding document Mr. Erickson signed, in my unprofessional assessment and opinion, was fraudulent for the sole purpose of harassment. Three times, Mr. Erickson claimed ownership of the photograph owned by Kipperman and Douglas Studios.

When this did not bring the YouTube site offline, Mr. Erickson signed a legally-binding document claiming ownership of the copyright to the Deep Calleth to the Deep video. Yet in his own YouTube channel, Mr. Erickson admitted in a disclaimer that he did not own this copyright, and by his own admission, signed a legally-binding document with a false claim.

All of the content on our site is for educational, discussion, and parody purposes, and is protected by Fair Use. Some of the videos attacked by Mr. Erickson clearly identified this fact. The combination of these facts would suggest that Mr. Erickson 1) Knew he was making false claims 2) Knew those claims were attacking content protected by Fair Use, and 3) did so for the sole purpose of causing damage to myself, the people working with me, and William Branham Historical Research in general.

This is not the first attack of this nature. Over the years, we have been constantly under attack to block information from leaking to the public. This is not the last attack of this nature. We are prepared for ongoing attack, as these destructive cults do not wish for their members to know the hidden secrets.

On our website at william-branham.org, the video section is prepared for these attacks. You will find on many videos different “hosts” that serve the content. When one host gets attacked, it automatically fails over to a secondary host. If you wish to see content that the cult does not wish for you to see, you can always view them on our website.
