The scaffolding came down today to reveal the outer face of the Cathedral Clock serving as a focal point on the North Transept since its fabrication in c.1475.
According to the Cathedral website, it has undergone many phases of redecoration and repairs over the years, with many previous schemes and layers preserved beneath the present face as a valuable and unique record of the clock’s history. Personally, I think they've done a fabulous job.
