David Sielaff, The Actual Temple Spot, with Kelly Em on The Common Surface

Today I have the honor of interviewing biblical scholar and archaeologist David Sielaff. David is the Director of the Associates for Scriptural Knowledge, which is a non-denominational research group that, in my view, is just looking for the facts on the ground.

We discuss how the Temple Mount is actually the Temple of Appolonia, What the likely birthdate of The Christ in fact was, and where the actual Jewish Temple was located.

For many dozens of centuries, different empires have sought to possess Jerusalem. This has resulted in countless wars, occupations, and the destruction of several Jewish temples.But what if today people are contesting the wrong piece of land? The place that we think of as the Temple Mount may not in fact be the location of the Temple of the Jewish people, but a Roman temple and fort. If true, it means that the strife over Jerusalem between Islam and Judaism may be based on a false conflict.
