French army holds massive drills

The French army is holding a series of massive military exercises called ‘Orion 23’ in the south of the country. The drills started with the dropping of hundreds of parachutists in the Tarn region, and continued with an amphibious assault simulation at Sete on the Mediterranean coast. Thousands of troops, naval and land vehicles, aircraft and an aircraft carrier are being deployed in the war games, dubbed the largest in years.
