First Last Call 2023 Dodge Challenger DELIVERED – First Reaction

It’s HERE!

The first Last Call for 2023 arrives at our local dealership. They didn’t even get a chance to touch it, so you’ll see what Ship Mode means. No displays, no touchscreen, no keyless entry. Just the car, and enough engine to move it off the truck.

I didn’t get the footage in time, but my friend that works there as a salesman, recorded the delivery. Super Stocks and 1320s get delivered in a fully enclosed car carrier, avoiding road chips or salt.

Im not a rich guy. But these cars, are the last time for a while were everyman can afford one. This car, while not my first, holds a special meaning. It’s timing coincides with me getting a job with Dodge, but also with me learning of an old friend that passed away.

In his honor, the Challenger 1320 will be named Cip (pronounced Cheep). Rest in piece, brother.

Financing was also uncertain, so Wednesday, things worked out too. It was a long shot, but it is like this car was meant to be…So I hope you excuse me being a bit more emotional than normal.

Either way, I’m happy, and very grateful.
