Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announces new support for Ukraine at a news conference in Toronto as he marks the one-year anniversary of Russia's invasion of Ukraine. He is joined by Defence Minister Anita Anand and Liberal MP Yvan Baker. Canada's new measures include sending four more Leopard 2 main battle tanks and imposing sanctions on additional Russian individuals and entities. Canada has announced over $5 billion in support for Ukraine since Russia launched its military operation on February 24, 2022. The prime minister also continues to face questions about alleged foreign interference in Canadian elections, and the possible renegotiation of the Safe Third Country Agreement with the United States.
