Lesson Description:
Can you play single chords up the neck of the guitar in at least six places? Can you see where that chord exists in every position up the neck of the guitar? If not then the exercise in this week's lesson is definitely for you. I call it the "144 Chords Exercise" and it's fantastic for clarifying the fretboard. I know that sounds extreme but it's really not, and you'll see for yourself as I demonstrate through the entire thing in the video. Make sure you watch this one (even if you know this stuff) because I also go on a great tangent about how to practice more effectively. :)

Knowing chords up the neck of the guitar in every fretboard position will help with seeing the natural logic of the fretboard. This chords exercise, which I call the “144 Chords Exercise”, is also great simply as a technique exercise. I highly recommend you go through this complete exercise at least once so you can know that you have, at one point, played every single major and minor triad in every position for those chords up the neck of the guitar.

Hope you enjoyed this lesson. Let me know what you thought :)
