Back To The Homestead ~ Coffee Coasters Ready ~ Tiny House Work
Melanie and I are back to The Off Grid Project on our homestead. We are unpacking the vehicle and I spent some time installing a new TV mount on the off grid tiny house wall.
In Michigan we had a shopping list for Black Friday and we got everything that we needed. It was not much though. One of the items on the list was a TV wall mount for our 32 inch LED TV that I have had for years. This TV only uses 30 watts of power so it is perfect for the off grid tiny house.
I put a piece of 2x10 barn wood on the wall which spans two wall studs. This will be the frame to hold the TV bracket.
I got some lag bolts to go into the wall. These are four inch lag bolts so they will go through the board, through the two furring strips and the air space, and into the wall studs underneath.
I had to drill a hole for the lag bolts and then hand crank them into the wall.
Next I mounted the new TV bracket to the wood frame I just attached to the wall. This is also attached using lag bolts.
The TV bracket did not easily attach to the wall bracket so I had to do some work off camera to get it on there.
When I had the TV mounted to the wall Melanie and I took a step back to admire it. We are both very much pleased with the TV on the wall there.
The TV has been on the antique Singer sewing machine all this time but that is sort of in the corner and awkward for us to use.
It looks very good where it is now, centered on the tiny house living room wall.
Melanie and I set up a movie using my laptop and enjoyed some time together. We have been in Michigan visiting family for a week and we were both tired.
It was raining all day with no break. The solar batteries were running low because the sun has now shown itself in a long time in this area. So we took it easy today.
I put the coffee coasters on my web store. The Off Grid Project coffee coasters are now ready for sale. You can get them in any quantity you like. They are $2.50 each which is a fair price.
Please get The Off Grid Project coffee coasters here:

The hand made coffee coasters are at the bottom of the page. You can also find key chains, coffee mugs, can cozies and more on this site.
We got a package in the mail which contained a large outdoor thermometer and a package of work gloves. The person wanted to remain unknown but said in the message that the digital thermometer is hard to read. So they sent us this one. Thank you :)
