"Good Thing," written by Mark Lindsay and Terry Melcher, was the Raiders' fifth top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart landing at the no. 4 position in 1966 (Whitburn, 2013). The song was released on the group's "The Spirit Of '67" LP and became the highest ranked song released from the album.
