Fire Emblem Engage DLC - Maddening Classic - Part 21: The Ancestor (Tiki's Divine Paralogue)

With a new wave of DLC dropping yesterday, let's make our first foray into the Divine Paralogues! These battles are unique in that all of the enemies scale to your level, meaning they get tougher the further you progress in the main story. So it may actually be easier to beat them as soon as possible.

To access the Divine Paralogues, you must buy the Fire Emblem Engage Expansion Pass, then clear Chapter 6. Go back to the Somniel and witness an event at Lookout Ridge where the Bracelet of the Three Houses will be found. After watching the event that follows, go back to the World Map, and a new pathway will open to a separate area where the Divine Paralogues will be.

Our first DLC battle is against another Divine Dragon, Tiki from Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light. This battle can get pretty tough if you're not prepared. Right off the start you have an enemy mage pelting you with Freeze spells at lower levels, or Meteor spells at higher levels from a safe range. You'll need a flying unit to take him out, but on the ground right in front of you is a dagger user on top of a tile that boost avoid and heals that you most likely won't be able to hit until you lure him off the tile.

But the hardest thing about this battle by far comes after you set foot in the ice temple. Once you enter the temple, seemingly endless waves of reinforcements appear behind you at the bottom center of the map. Each wave consists of two dragons and two other units. They will appear four at a time every 3 turns until around Turn 40, so I took the easy but long way out and just camped them out until they stopped coming.

Be sure to bring a Rewarp staff into this battle because there is a special item outside of the temple that can only be reached by warping. Said item is the Silver Card which gives you a 30% discount at the Somniel shops.
