Final Fantasy 4 Ultima (SNES ROM Hack) - Part 10: Superboss Magissa

After entering the Magnetic Cave to retrieve the Earth Crystal from the Dark Elf, we finally take back the crystal! But before we bring it back to Troia, it's time for the first of many optional Superbosses that were added into this hack! The only early-game Superboss lies in a deep forest south of Troia. It's a maze area and at the end of it lies our first superboss, Magissa from Final Fantasy 5!

Magissa is a pretty annoying boss if you fight her early on like I am. All of her regular attacks heal herself and can also poison you, and she can also paralyze, sap, and put you to sleep, making it difficult to do lasting damage to her. She can also summon a Mad Ogre once her HP gets low enough, which also moves her to the back row until the Mad Ogre is dead further reducing your damage output. Thankfully Cid can bypass that barrier with his Beam attack which always deals 10% of Magissa's max HP of 35,790, and Yang can one-shot the Mad Ogre summons with the Kaiser Claw. Killing her gives you the Brigand Axe.
