Washington Gun Law President, William Kirk, discusses what you should do if your firearm has been stolen. Today, we focus on RCW 9.41.360, Washington's Safe Storage Provisions. Perhaps the most misunderstood of any of Washington's gun laws, this law does NOT actually dictate how we have to store a firearm. It DOES, however, impose significant criminal liability for irresponsible storage that leads to death, injury and/or criminal behavior. But there is one great escape hatch from this law and one that you, as the lawful and responsible gun owner, should know off the top of your head. So learn all of this today and arm yourself with education.
