Camping On Gin Beach Montauk NY

8/9/2016 Heading back to our campsite at Gin Beach in Montauk. Probably one of the best kept secrets on Long Island. It’s a little tricky getting a campsite on the Suffolk County Parks website, but it can be done. Ocean front property for a week! I must admit I was a little apprehensive about bringing a 7700 lb truck and 8000 lb fifth wheel trailer onto the beach. I asked a lot of questions before heading down there to make my maiden voyage. While fishing Montauk one day, I took a junt down E. Lake Dr. to talk to some of the fellas bringing their trailers on to the beach. One gentlemen was nice enough to let me tagalong with him. That put a lot of my fears to rest. If you ever have the opportunity to get out that way with your trailer, or rent one that’s already in place, I highly recommend it. Hope you enjoyed the video
