New Volkswagen Tavendor 2023-Wonderful SUV

Volkswagen has introduced a new model in China, further expanding its wide range of SUVs in the region. The Tavendor, produced locally by the FAW-VW joint venture, is a mid-to-large SUV based on the MQB Evo architecture, with modern styling and lots of technology inside the cabin.

The new model, which was leaked a few months ago, combines design cues from VW's electric and ICE-powered SUVs. The front is characterized by the horizontal stripes in body color on the grille, similar to the LED element above the main headlights that expand towards the profile, through the hood closing line inspired by the Peugeot 3008.

The profile has a clean design with a window line similar to the Audi Q6. The rear end is reminiscent of the ID. model range, although the full-width taillight LED graphics are unique to the Tavendor. Note that the model in the photo is the R-Line finish, with a sportier design for the bumpers and large-diameter light-alloy wheels.

Based on an extended version of the tried-and-true MQB Evo architecture, the FAW-VW Tavendor measures 4936 mm (194.3 inches) in length, 2015 mm (79.3 inches) in width and 1756 mm (62 inches) in height. , with a wheelbase of 2,980 mm (117.3 inches). Predictably, the wheelbase is identical to both the mechanically related but slightly longer Teramont/Atlas and the Talagon flagship. Still, the Tavendor is 58mm (2.3 inches) longer than the more premium MLB Evo-based VW Touareg.
